Heres my top ten games. Most you will have heard of before and probably played at some time, but a couple to watch out for are Cannons and Panza Kick boxer, the latter being the best ever fighting game on any platform, animated movement and oooer brilliant.. the former is a very addictive little known puzzle type game... read on and enjoy :)

Sensible Soccer

I have played this game on a few platforms and none can beat the ATARI version,

Amiga - Stutters when loading samples in gameplay
PC - Blocky and far too fast, 2nd version no joystick?
Jaguar - Sorry but football sims need a joystick, not a pad IMHO

Only the ATARI does a perfect job, and unlike other football sims this one is different each game, Its a game I can play for hours, or at least until my hands seize up, at a recent ATARI Meeting it was set up for two player competitions and went down very well...

Cannon Fodder

Suprisingly enough from the same people that made Sensi Soccer... Apart from the thrill of soccer, this game has everything and was a tuff choice not to have as number one, Its a shame CF2 never made it to the ATARI, there is a port of the AMIGA version, but its a dodgy demo really.

Missile Command

sorry I know it is old, but hey it can keep me occupied for hours, and at the end of the day that's what counts, the concept is so simple, but good...I have played the Jaguar version, with 3d perspective, towers you can jump between, but no matter what they do, they can not beat the simple point and click and watch that dodgy line drawing itself up the screen.

NO NAME

I Don't know the name of this game, let me explain, I gauge a game by how long it holds my attention, how long I play it and not how nice it looks or sound, Well I had a game I played for hours, but it was so long ago, and its long since been lost :(, the game featured a vertical scrolling landscape taking around 70% of the left hand side of the screen, You have a small tank and you have to work your way up the screen, the graphics where brilliant, you blew up a wall and nice bright fire animated, there where railway siding, gun emplacements, the lot, not too many roaming baddies, I think they where all stable, anyone any idea?

Scrabble

We all used to play this, why it was more fun than a real board I have no idea, in fact its easier to cheat and see the other players tiles, maybe that was why :), but definitely a great game that everyone can play :)

Panza Kick Boxer

Two disks, not something I played on my own, but the best two player game I ever played, I haven't seen the boxers or movements bettered in any other game...certainly the Jaguar hasn't, amiga or most PC fighting games, if you get the chance then check it out, I have played many fighting games, this beats all ATARI ones. Cannons

Another great two player game..But I have passed many an half hour playing against myself, Random terrain, random tank positions, random wind ect, you have to set your power and velocity ect and fire at the other tank, this takes quite a bit of thinking about, a real classic game, true trigonometry used.. none of this up, across, down nonsense :)

Dizzy

Yes good old dizzy gets a mention that nice little infuriating Egg from Codemasters, I have to say i probably wouldn't play it now, but it gave me so many hours of gameplay years ago that it has to be in the top ten, I can recall waiting for the next title to arrive, like waiting for a film to be released ...

Jimmy Whites Snooker and Archer McCleans Pool

Two games in Ninth spot because they are so simmilar..well the game aint.. but the computer sim eeerm well you know what I mean.... This was I seem to recall my first experience of a 3d type enviroment..and so fast..and so accurate..amazing game and especially amazing for its time (is that the programmer in me speaking?) Snooker is the better of the two simply because as in real life its a longer game..

There are so many possibilities that the tenth spot is always the hardest to fill.. because it is here where you have to decide to leave other titles out :(.......so the fairest way to do it is not tell you:)
